Branding and identity is one of my favorite types of projects to work on. I love brainstorming different directions, developing a system, and then actually using that system to execute all the little brand materials. I get excited about the big picture and then the small details; branding allows me to focus on both.
While freelancing at Frank Collective, I got to work on a rebranding project for 16 Handles. Initially, we explored a number of different directions. I pulled inspiration, made posters, and even got to write some fun fro-yo copy. After getting feedback from the client, I helped create a number of mockups for branding initiatives, such as T-Shirts and photo booths. It was a lot of fun to work on, but I struggled with constant fro-yo cravings.
For Kristen James Fitness, I was given her signature pink color and the direction of "powerful." I played around with the initials and traditional symbols of fitness.
For Planned Giving Advisors, I was given the direction of "legacy." I had a lot of fun researching different kinds of "legacy" and "wisdom." I played around with owls, the Japanese ensō, laurels, and junipers.
